My current idea for the Blender project is to make some type of full-face mask because I am drawn to masks; they are cool in general, but they also make interestings filters. However, given how difficult Blender has been so far, I’m not super confident in my ability to sculpt a human face. But if I can figure it out, I could create a filter that gives the user the helmet of the Penitent One from Blasphemous, and when they blink/open their mouth, blood will stream from the eyes of the helmet, just like in the game. This sounds cool in my head, but it’s very ambitious because of the face sculpting, and animating the blood tears could be difficult as well. Other than that, the helmet has simple shapes, such as cones and thin toruses, which will be easier to manipulate.
Another idea is to create a devil that rests on the user’s shoulder, and it will dance or move in some way. If I go this route, the devil will probably have a more simplistic design. I’ve also considered a more silly and unserious route that involves sculpting one of the brain rot/meme cats, such as Maxwell the cat spinning on your head, or the Oiia Oiia cat spinning on your head, or banana cat. Maybe I could make a mask that turns the user into banana cat, and when they open their mouth, he cries (funny how this is my second idea that involves crying of some kind, but they’re relevant to both characters I swear). Anyways, this idea also has appeal because the design of some of these cats are simplistic and could translate well geometrically since they aren’t meant to be in high resolution.
